Unmanned helicopter system have a wide range of application in military and civilian fields, and become a focus of study at home and abroad. The flight simulation system is an important position in the designing and researching of unmanned helicopter, which can shorten development cycle, reduce the research costs and reduce the risk of flight test. This paper mainly studies dynamics modeling of a coaxial twin-rotor unmanned helicopter and the program development of flight simulation system.Coaxial twin-rotor unmanned helicopter dynamics computation is according to subcomponents modeling theory. The rotor aerodynamic force and moment calculation is mainly through the induced velocity calculating model for real-time calculation of rotor induced velocity, blade wave equation to calculate the blade flapping angle. After that,through the blade element theory, with the use of integral method calculations of rotor aerodynamic forces and moments. Aerodynamic coefficients of fuselage are calculated using CFD software, the fuselage of aerodynamic load are obtained by considering between rotor and fuselage aerodynamic coupling. In addition, also need to add landing gear dynamics modeling, operation controlling method, tail bypass modeling, and other components.This system adopts the object-oriented C++ programming language, including integrated development environment for the VS2010, as open source OSG for the system to provide visual simulation platform, a real flight simulation terrain which based on the osgEarth is established. By using 3ds Max three-dimensional modeling software to build system model and textures processing. Through a joystick or a keyboard control helicopter flight simulation.Finally, A coaxial twin-rotor unmanned helicopter flight simulation system that possess independent intellectual property right is establish, which takes dynamic model as backstage supporter, OSG and osgEarth to render the flight simulation.
