The Study Of Street Facade Renovation Based On The Visual Perception Theory

With the rapid expansion of the city, the quality of city streets is declining and thestreetscape is also deteriorating. Shortly after the completion of many buildings alongthe streets, facades are blocked immediately by a wide variety of billboards, banners,temporary awning, air conditioners and something like that, which result in a "patch"type of building facades and discordant stree screens, seriously affecting the space ofstreets. As people’s requirements of the city improved, major cities have done someurban street update activities currently.This paper tries to analyse the transformation of urban renewal in the street facadefrom the point of the principles of visual perception,to explore the transformation ofChina’s urban street facade. First, constituent elements of street space and visualperception principles are elaborated respectively. Then, combineing the two together,toanalyse the application of the principles of visual perception from the view of the topinterface, the interface and the bottom side of the interface, and then applying it toZunyi urban street facade renovation. Finally, summarizing the case and reframing theelements, especially for the induction of the second contour line, preliminary have thestrategies and methods of the visual perception principles used on street facaderenovation.Currently, the street facades renovation have many problems in cities of ourcountry, beautify the street construction and to create a good street space have a longand tortuous road. Hoping the methods and conclusions in the parper are useful on thefacade renovation of the buildings along the street in our country.
