Hospital is a medical site with the purpose of maintaining health, restoring bodyfunctions, protecting comfortable of human beings. Currently, the design of hospital airconditioning system is mostly still using the design concept of comfort air conditioning. And the setting of thermal environment parameters of different functional zones is lackof purpose and pertinence. These conditiongs will lead to the effects of design and oper-ation can not fully meet the special requirements of health care process. Fortunately, these problems have caused widespread concern in the industry. This paper relies on theNational Natural Science Foundation project, namely “Research on the basic issues ofhealth comfort effects of thermal and humid environment in hospital buildings”(No.51278506). This paper have investigated the present thermal environment situationand the patient’s thermal comfort, explored the factors which affect patient’s thermalsensation, proposed a statistical thermal comfort model which is applicable for generalward under air-conditioned environment.Firstly, the thermal environment of wards and thermal comfort status of the patientwere obtained through field investigation and analysis. On this basis, using Bin method, the paper obtained subjective neutral temperatures of winter and summer by linear fit-ting between subjective thermal sensation and ET*. The preference tempertures can beacquired by regression between ET*and thermal preference vote within each ET*in-terval. What’s more, with20%as the response curve, the acceptable temperture rangeswhich can make80%of patients feel comfortable in winter and summer can be obtained.By contrast with previous results, found that patients tend to the warmer environment. Then, based on objective measurement parameters, adopted ASHRE Handbook(2005) and Lin&Deng thermal comfort model as the calculation methods to obtain anew comfort zone and PMV values at different activity level and clothing thermal resis-tance. Using the percentages within ASHRAE Standard55-2004comfort zone, the newcomfort zone and PMV values between-0.5to+0.5to evaluate thermal environment ofthe ward respectively. The result is that these three evaluation methods are differentfrom subjective evaluation results and not suitable for general wards. And then, throughcorrelation analysis found that health conditions, type of diseases and treatments haveinfluence on patient’s thermal confort. Finally, established a statistical model which is used to evaluate and predict the thermal comfort of patients in a air-conditioned ward. The model can be solved with thehelp of econometrics software Eviews. The results of accuracy of the model show thatthe accuracy of training samples reached89.3%and the accuracy of prediction reached89.4%.The model has a good integral regression effect and a strong predictive abili-ty.The model was applied to analysis the sensitivity of quantitative parameters, whichhave impact on thermal comfort of patients. And then, the sensitivity of each factor weresorted. The best comfortable temperature zones of summer and winter was given withthe help of the model. The results of this paper will provide some references for establishment and im-plement of hospital building thermal comfort standard in our country and provide ascientific basis for regulation of hospital air conditioning operating.
