Abstract/Summary:
Substation is an important part of the power system, the development of smart gridmakes a demand of higher technology level to substation. Substation experienced threestages of development, which are traditional substation, digital substation and smartsubstation. Currently smart substation has been widely used, due to the application ofIEC61850, interoperability between intelligent devices in smart substation have beenable to achieve. But in the actual substation project which uses manual configurationmethods is inefficient, model compatibility between devices from differentmanufacturers is also flawed. Also, replace or add smart devices may require toreconfigure all intelligent electric devices in smart substation, considering thedependence on individual skill capabilities of current configuration method, themaintenance and expansion of smart substation will encounter more difficulties. For theproblems above encountered by smart substation, the paper studies a smart substationintelligent device auto-configuration method that is the interchangeabilityimplementation of intelligent electric devices in smart substation, in order to achievesmart device "plug and play ".Firstly, the paper analyzes the IEC61850Second Edition updated content, givesthe modeling method of substation and intelligent electric device based on IEC61850.IEC61850modeling method can not explicitly show logical devices and logical nodesare the recipient or the provider of services, which makes it not conducive toconfigurate automatic. In this paper, service characteristic of logical device and logicalnode in intelligent electric devices model is defined, in order to distinct a resourceobject is a providing or requiring object.Secondly, the "plug and play" technology widely used domestic and abroad arestudied in the paper, technical characteristics of PNP, UPnP and Jini were analyzed. Theanalysis revealed that, Jini cross-platform, object-oriented, service-based, distributedfeatures make it possible to adapt to the smart substation environment. This paperproposes to use a combination of IEC61850and Jini technology to achieve intelligentelectric devices configure automatically in smart substation.Finally, the paper established a substation model in line with national standards,and the implementation process of intelligent electric device interchangeability isdivided into model association twice, first one is a intelligent electric device model associate with a smart substation model to definite the bay which intelligent electricdevice works, which provide evidences for association between intelligent electricdevices. Second, the association process between intelligent electric devices models,which definite data exchange between intelligent electric devices. For some intelligentelectric devices, only a part of functions are enabled in smart substation, in order toprevent some services described in the model but not enabled from automatically addedto the configuration process, the effectiveness of services are defined in the paper.Interchangeability verification platform using JDK and Jini is built, interchangeabilityimplementation process of intelligent electric device is simulated, and the simulationcan generate a configuration file as required automatically for intelligent electricdevices, which verify the interchangeability method proposed is feasible and effective.
