With the rapid development of motor vehicle, the travel right of pedestrian and cyclist is suffered from invading and occupying of motor vehicles, which leads the worse travel environment of pedestrian and cyclist. It is the necessary development and comeback process from paying attention to pedestrian and bicycle traffic to doing deep research on theory and method of pedestrian and bicycle traffic planning.Taking the planning method on urban pedestrian and bicycle traffic as the research object, this dissertation analyzes the development goal of urban pedestrian and bicycle traffic.On the basis of constructing the system framework of pedestrian and bicycle traffic planning, the traffic behavior and transfer mode of pedestrian and bicycle is studied. The research emphasis are the methods on demand forecast of pedestrian and bicycle traffic network analysis of pedestrian and bicycle traffic and priority property evaluation of pedestrian and cyclist in urban intersections.On the basis of analysis on pedestrian and bicycle traffic development processes and examples, the goal of pedestrian and bicycle traffic development is put forward. During summarizing the humanization development idea of pedestrian and bicycle traffic, the system framework of pedestrian and bicycle traffic planning is constructed from the levels of macroscopic, middle and microscopic and from the points of policy, network and facilities. To discuss the travel behavior characteristics and construct the logit model of pedestrian and bicycle behavior choice; The transfer modes of pedestrian and bicycle traffic and urban subway traffic is studiedDuring analyzing the demand characteristic of pedestrian and bicycle traffic and the interact connection between pedestrian and bicycle traffic and space configuration, the demand forecast method is brought forward based on space syntax, constructing the regression model between space syntax indexes and pedestrian and bicycle traffic flux. According to the connection of land use and pedestrian and bicycle traffic, the pedestrian and bicycle traffic demand forest amend model is constructed. Taking the example to prove the method is effective.From the point of structure classes’demand of urban absolute pedestrian and bicycle network, the urban pedestrian and bicycle traffic network is converted into topology structure in space L and space P. The basic property indexes and static structural indexes are analyzed. During analyzing the scale-free property of pedestrian and bicycle traffic network,the important urban intersections hub nodes are ascertained of weight network in space L, and using the fuzzy cluster method to classified the urban bicycle roads structure. The method is validated during taking an example。Urban intersections are the pedestrian and bicycle traffic nodes, which the priority property of pedestrian and cyclist is the basis of pedestrian and bicycle traffic planning and design. During analyzing the meaning and demand of priority property of pedestrian and cyclist in urban intersections, the evaluation indexes system is founded from traffic facilities and traffic organization.
