Modern vessel is developing forward to cyberization, informatization, intelligentization, integrating navigation, driving, power control, damage control, into an organic whole system, it makes various subsystems of the ship to be a unifiedmonitoring and management and information sharing system, constituting shipautomation systems. Every subsystems are connected to network by the interface, thesystem is equipped with standardized operating station which are installed in theright place of the whole ship, each one can be centrally managing, monitoring andcontrol of the whole ship’s equipment. Ship automation system has become thefuture direction of vessel monitoring system. The subject comes from Systems Engineering Research Institute, developed byC++and C#, the subject is divided into three modules which are packets admissionpacket analysis, network parsing. Which are subdivided into cache data, filter data, admission packets, parsis packet, save and read documents, statistical analyzespackets, customize packet protocol, record log, monitor network status sub-modules.Requirements analysis, summary design, detailed design and implementation of thesemodules are described in this paper.Network Monitoring&Data Recording Subsystem base on Ship AutomationSystem is a general-purpose packet-oriented ethernet network admission packetanalysis system, support the summaried analysis of packets that have been resolvedand detailed analysis of packets from the data link layer to the application layer, allthe results are displayed into text by user-understandable way to the user; support thefiltration and statistion processing of the protpcol unit or field units; support customsetting cache data by memory or documents; support persistent storaging and loadingof the packet data which has been admitted; support extended custom formating andthe parsing for a variety of application-layer protocols; support the reconding log forthe running system; support the real-time monitoring of the network communicationstatus which on the running host. Finally, design of appropriate test cases for different modules, though testing, iterative development and practical use, proved that the Network Monitoring&DataRecording Subsystem base on Ship Automation System can be used for real-timeadmission on the running network, it can parsing, displaying, filtering, statisticalanalysising, network monitoring of each packet though network. Assist the user totest or debug on the endpoint of the network. It is an essential important part of themodern ship informatization.
