Static var compensator is a kind of reactive power compensation device whichhas advantages to have better economy and high capacity. SVC devices improvepower quality through satisfying the request of grid reactive. Though, anunreasonable system design would cause negative effects which seriously threatenthe reliable operation of power system. In order to solve negative effects caused byvar compensator devices, such as PT burned, electric equipments twinkling in a10kV coal distribution grid. This article designs parameter for SVC, study theswitch control strategy, analyze the system stability. The work provides an excellentsolution to suppress the negative effects in the grid.Firstly, in order to solve the negative effects in the actual conditions, such ascurrent impact, high distortion rate, low power factor. According to the nationalstandards and actual demands, this paper designs reasonable structure of device andconfirms SVC device consisted of TSC and PPF. Based on power compensationrules, paper designs the capacity, reactance rate and other parameter. In order toguarantee the safe operation under high voltage conditions, analyze the mechanismof the valve, design the voltage balance circuit.Then, aiming to avoid the grid collapse caused by unreasonable parameterdesign, the paper applies the method based on parallel resonance and semi-tensorproduct to analyze the system stability, deduce the process of solving system stablefield, establish the differential equations, calculate and judge the stability oftransient and long-term system, which provides theory basis for designing systemparameter. To ensure the switch effect, the paper applies the sapce improvement ninedomains method, design the system process, which realizes the quick and safeoperation.Finally, the paper establishes a MATLAB/SIMULINK model to simulate theoperation, which verifies the algorithm and parameter. Compile system controlstrategy algorithm program to realize the intelligent control. Apply the equipmentsin the lab, the paper designs and establishes the SVC system hardware circuit. DSPTMS320F2812is the core of system. Experiment results indicate that applyingdesigned software algorithm and hardware circuit could obtain excellent actualresults and effectively suppress the generation of SVC system negative effects.
