With the intensification of urbanization, a large number of wetland resourcesdisappear or degrade, causing many disasters. To solve the ecological imbalanceproblem of freshwater resources, this paper, based on the "functional wetlands"concept, explores new ways of planning for the sustainable human settlementsdevelopment environment, and proposes new town residential areas of wetlands inconjunction with the principles of urban wetland planning. Taking the after officialLake livable Metro project of Wuhan’s Caidian new city as the main object, this studyexplores the combining planning of Ma’anshan livable sector residential areawetlands and the official Lake City wetlands. The main contents of this thesis are:The first part is mainly the preliminary analysis of the official Lake livable town,including an overview of the Metro, the existing planning programs of the Metro andthe study on the subject of the after official status of lake wetlands and wetlandsystems.In the second part, we firstly make a runoff analysis on the official Lake livabletown, and obtain distributions of Metro river catchment areas. Then, we integrate thestatus of river with the land sector of the Metro Ma’anshan livable range of wetlandpatches. Finally, based on the perfect integration of wetland systems and the structureof wetland planning structure, we carry out four controlled detailed planning ofresidential areas.In the third part, we firstly analyses the city-level wetland corridor plates linkingwith the after official Lake wetland in Ma’anshan livable city patches. Then, we studythe relationship among wetland patches, residential areas and residential corridor, andpropose a reasonable layout of wetlands in residential areas. Finally, for five differentresidential areas of wetland resources distributions, by combining with the livablecity-level wetland corridor plates, we propose different binding styles.The last part is the summary and the prospect of this research.
