The construction of urban residential areas has occupied a large area of wetland resources in the city and the surrounding areas,which is one of the most important reasons for the recent severe urban waterlog and water resources shortage,and also result in the increasing seriousness of ecological imbalance of urban fresh water resource.Such phenomenon is particularly prominent in coastal region.As a result of robust economic growth,beautiful living environment and convenient and high-efficient transportation system,coastal regions usually gather numerous population and require enormous development force.At the same time,the estuary wetland in coastal region is usually the key of regional ecological system.Despite abundant habitat categories,coastal region has sensitive and fragile ecology and extreme contradictions between land development and ecological protection.Therefore,we put forward “functional wetland” theory,which is developed on the basis of “man-made wetland” concept,include the utilization of various kinds of man-made wetland construction technology,its core is to rebuild water resource ecological balance and with human settlements values through protection,restoration,rebuild wetland system and in combination with sewage treatment,rainwater collection,reclaimed water recycling and flood prevention.This paper based on “functional wetland” theory,utilize the method of system layer to explore the cascade-construction manners of Xinglin Gulf residential area functional wetland,to restore the ecological structure of the wetland in the region.Finally resolve the water resource imbalance in this region.This paper is mainly constituted by the following aspects:(1)Conclude and reference the related theories and practices include Huaqiao University Campus functional wetland,to extract the wetland gene of the current situation of Xinglin Gulf area and investigate the related cases of the residential area in this region,thereby to lay the foundation for the research.(2)To implement runoff analysis for Xinglin gulf area,and acquires the river network distribution of this area;integrate the generated river network and current situation wetland gene,and carry out the construction of wetland network.(3)According to the construction requirements of functional wetland,combine with the upper plan and residential area design specification,to implement secondary wetland network construction in this region,and put forward the principles and strategies of secondary wetland network construction.(4)Taking the construction of sound wetland structure as the planning structure,this thesis systematically organizes and plans surrounding residential area in Xinglin Bay and configures a water station so as to realize the zero-discharge objective of the functional wetland.(5)Conclusion and outlook.By the cascade-construction of functional wetland in Huanxinglin Gulf residential area,which is a significant expansion of the existing results of functional wetland theory,and hope to provide references for the future residence zone ecological planning.
