Case Study On Leisure Square Of Hefei Ring Park

As the living room of one city, leisure square is an important part of the publicspace in an urbanized city. It is not only a landscape spot for a city, but also anessential place for residents to communicate with each other, entertain themselves andrelax their mind. As a matter of fact, leisure square plays an integral part in themodern lives of urban residents. One such park,Hefei Ring Park with its comfortablenatural scenery grants leisure park unique enchantment. Therefore, the research onthe leisure square of Hefei Ring Park has both theoretical and practical significance.This study will not only enrich the theory of urban public space, but also can providepractical basis for the construction and reconstruction of leisure squares of cityparks.This paper is based on the subject of leisure square of Hefei Ring Park,applying a combination of field research, questionnaire, observation and otherresearch methods. First we analyzed the layout, physical space constitution andcultural connotations of the Hefei Ring Park; followed by a questionnaire survey, weget the characteristics of the basic properties and usage of the square by statisticalanalysis; then by the method of SD Scale, an average semantic distribution graph ofdifferent squares was drew according to previous statistical analysis,thus we get thesatisfaction assessment of different squares. In addition, we improved satisfactionassessment with supplementation of use and evaluation, which is the site observationand behavior map analysis, thus completing the evaluation of the use of Hefei RingPark. On this basis, recommendations on the aspects of physical space environmentand square vibrant atmosphere are made. Finally, we make a comprehensiveconclusion on the leisure square of Hefei Ring Park and point out the shortcomings atthe same time.
