| Ship driving simulator is the most exact combination of ship and virtual reality technology, it generates a vivid ocean scene, island terrain and virtual ship-handling system based on the computer graphics, interaction between real equipments and virtual operating environment is provided for trainees and operators, it plays an significant role in improving trainees’quality, detecting ship’s performance and analyzing ship’s movement when drifting in and out of the port.Based on the software platform of Visual Studio2008、SQL2000、OpenSceneGraph and Matlab/Simulink, the marine propulsion simulation model and virtual ocean scene art established as well as the data communication of different software. The Z-propeller tug produced by Zhenjiang shipyard is researched in this paper, according to different range of drift angle, its force function and propulsion function are established by the method of MMG model, then the functions are solved by Runge-kutta method to get ship’s motion trail and course. At the same time, the basic grids are established by the method of quadtree, its vertexs’projection height map is calculated and compared with the threshold, then the ocean surface height field is generated based on the statistical spatial spectrum and fast fourier transform; the weather of snow and rain is simulated through the particle system; at last, data communication between different software is realized by means of UDP and ADO protocol, and virtual marine navigation system based on the Z-propeller tug’s maneuvering model is established.This system has vivid virtual ocean scene and rational dynamic analysis of ship motion. By unceasing improvement and upgrade, the simulation results and maneuvering performance are going to promote step by step, which has a huge practical value for the train of virtual ship-handling, to lay the solid technical foundation for the multifunctional marine engineering simulator, aircraft simulator and other virtual simulators. |
