The ship maneuvering simulator is one of the most important applications of virtual reality, and the typical one of the man-machine simulation system. It can simulate the real navigation environment, systematic training to the operation staff. Nowadays, the ship maneuvering simulator has been widely used in the education of international maritime universities. The ship maneuvering console is an important component of the ship maneuvering console, and provides the sense of physical reality to the operation staff. The master control system which is the core part of the console is the bridge between the console and the master computer. Its real-time, stability affects the overall system fidelity directly.This paper describes the design and implementation of the console master control system of ship maneuvering, and mainly focuses on the design method of digital circuit application system based on CPLD research for further study, and puts forward the whole scheme and MCU mixed application; at the same time, the interface technology of USB is added to the main control board and PC communication to make up for communication rate and high error rate shortcomings of the traditional serial, and according to the above ideas to complete the design of the whole system.The whole ship master control system mainly completes acquisition, storage and transmission of the steering wheel angle and vehicle clock gear signal. Its hardware circuit can be divided into two parts:CPLD control module, MCU module, A/D conversion module, signal conditioning module, serial and USB communication module etc.. The control panel is inputted analog signal by the GAX60absolute value encoder, and completes the tansformation into a voltage signal systems through the signal conditioning module,and completes the analog-to-digital conversion and real-time acquisition through the digital acquisition module, finally through the storage module, main control module, USB interface and on position machine communication, data and control signals read out by the the PC software. The software which is based on Quartus II platform and IAR software can describe the hardware function.Finally, according to the design of digital circuit system, the success of each module circuit respectively proves that this set of solution completed; after the comprehensive analysis of the debugging process measured data proves the accuracy of system acquisition. Overall it can meet the needs of the ship maneuvering simulator.
