| With the development of marine traffic, the growing number of ships and traffic densityhave a serious impact on marine traffic safety and more and more frequently marine accidentsresult in great loss of life and property. Marine radar and AIS are essential for the navigationof ships and play an important role in collision prevention, VTS and navigation safety. Radarand AIS has its own advantages and disadvantages, which cannot replace one and use anotheralone at present. But with the increasing request for navigation precision, the combination use,integrated control and integration of multiple information with radar, AIS with other kinds ofnavigation equipment have become an inevitable trend.This paper have analyzed the basic principle of serial communication and multiple serialinterfaces, based on protocol IEC61162, designed a radar control panel that can control andmanage radar, AIS and other kinds of navigation equipment. The control panel has threemajor characteristics: the first is based on the data fusion technology of radar and AIS and cancontrol the data of radar and AIS at the same time, achieve data fusion and separation; thesecond is the panel designed according to the IEC61162, makes it possible to have integratedcontrol of different navigation equipments; the third is the panel has three different serialinterfaces, so can meet the connection of different navigation equipments which are designedby different companies, make it more convenient for different marine navigation systems.The field test results show that the radar control panel can able to achieve the basicfunctions of the radar control units, not only can operates the radar image, radar signal andradar performance but also can controls the AIS, GPS, compass and log. The radar controlpanel is multifunctional, its multi-serial port and data standardization make it complies withstandards, offers a new idea to the data fusion of radar and AIS in the control terminal. |
