With the rapid development of global economy, the residents of car ownership are alsorising, which is associated with increasingly serious traffic problems. In order to easetransport pressures, countries around the world have increased the research and constructionof intelligent transportation systems. In the future, development of transportation tends to beintelligent. As a new industry, intelligent transportation system gave new impetus to China’seconomic development. Lane departure warnings system is part of the ITS. While cars is indeviation from the lane, the system will remind drivers to avoid danger by issuing a warning.As the lane is the most basic factor of the traffic environment, so lane of traffic information isthe most important information. This article is study on key technology of lane detectionmainly based on Hough transform, and use traffic video detection images as object. HoughTransformation is used as a commonly method in identify the geometry from the image,which has good robustness, can identify lane lines in noisy environment.Firstly, this paper introduces the application about the demand of the intelligenttransportation system, and the research and application status at home and abroad. Forpreprocessing of images issue, this paper analysis and implements the image gray scale,lineartransformation,edge detection and image enhancement. Collected lane images as subjects,bycomparing actual results to determine lane specific processes and methods of pretreatment.Byanalyzing the classic methods of image segmentation, determinate the Hough transform as themain algorithm based on the actual effect. This article is devoted to the study of backgroundimages extracted from monitoring videos, according to the division of lanes, followingprocessing are put forward to background. Firstly, change the colorful background into graybackground; secondly, linear transformation and binary convert the gray background; thirdly,Hough Transformation the resulting binary graph and divided lanes. The program isdeveloped in Microsoft Visual Stdio2010development environment and I use C#language toedit it. I have developed a set of lane detection system. After several groups of experimental,the measured results mainly meet the requirements of the Division of lane.
