Under the action of the vehicle load and climate change, the aggregates which constitutethe macro texture and micro texture of the road will be polished, worn, gradually appear evenpartial loose. When vehicles traveling on this road, adhesion between the tire and the roadsurface will be greatly reduced, road roughness and skid resistance also decreased. Thissituation will be more obvious in the corners, ramps, it will cause for traffic safety hazard. Forthe fall of asphalt pavement skid resistance, there are some traditional conservation methodsand processes, such as seal coat, micro-surfacing and asphalt regeneration, although theseprocesses can play a restoration of the old asphalt pavement skid resistance of the role, but itsequipment maintenance costs, high processing costs are high, construction efficiency is low.The face of increasing mileage of highway maintenance, if still using the several conservationtechnology, will greatly increase the cost of road maintenance. How to make use of thelimited maintenance costs to complete the growing of highway maintenance work putsforward new requirements for maintenance machinery. Developed a low-cost, high-efficiencyequipment to recovery the asphalt pavement skid resistance is imminent.This paper from the fall of asphalt pavement skid resistance and accident relations,analyzed the influence of various factors on the asphalt pavement skid resistance, describedthe evaluation of asphalt pavement skid resistance, the measurement methods and measuringinstruments, pointed out the necessity and urgency of the recovery in the pavement skidresistance. Through this analysis, this paper pointed out that to improve the old asphaltpavement’ skid resistance should focus on improving the road by restoring the road surface.Then, the paper analyzes the advantages and disadvantages of the current road maintenance inthe technology methods and equipment of recovering and improving the asphalt pavementskid resistance,and compared the existing technical and economic processes. In order to solvethe problems in the existing technology on equipment maintenance, construction costs andconstruction efficiency, this paper presents a simple process and device structure of the concept of flexible milling. And under the guidance of flexible milling thought, this paper,presented flexible milling, brushed steel brush, scraping programs and the combination of theaforementioned program and towing vehicle options and programs through the economy,practicality and technology and other aspects of comparative simplicity, choose tractor brushbrushed steel design a program for the rapid increase in old asphalt pavement skid resistanceof the new road maintenance equipment-asphalt pavement sweeping spiral nap rollermachine. And through the compare of these program’s economy, practicality and simplicitydesigned a new road maintenance equipment to rapidly increase the old asphalt pavement’sskid resistance-Asphalt pavement sweeping spiral nap roller machine. In the analysis of theinfluence of bristle material, arranged bristles seat laws, towing vehicle traction speed anddrum rotation speed, determining the parameters of the napping machine, then modeled by thethree-dimensional modeling software. ADAMS simulation software for use motion analysis toverify the matching relationship between the pulling speed and the rotational speed of thedrum, and using finite element analysis software ANSYS to simulate and verify the process ofbrushing.
