The curved slope continuous rigid frame bridge can be adapted to the terrainlimitations, making it is widely applied in Plateau mountainous area. But due to the adversefactors impact such as the complex of the structure form, the significant influence oftorsional effect, etc. which will exacerbate more structural damages such as aging,deterioration, etc during the period of service. Without timely detection and propertreatment, which will endanger the safety and using performance of the bridge structure,therefore, if can accurately identify the damage of bridge structure during bridge operationprocess, establish the health monitoring programmes that adapt to this bridge’s type andcontrol of bridge structure health condition timely, which is of great significance forensuring its safe operation and avoiding a major disaster.Previous studies that based on curvature mode of damage identification focused onLinear simply-supported beam, continuous beam, while the studies about curved continuousrigid frame bridge is relatively few, the applicability and effectiveness for this type of bridgedamage in different parts of damage recognition results remains to be further study; and themajor influence factor analysis on the curvature mode of curved slope continuous rigidframe bridge is also relative less. Relevant outcomes guidance based on curvature modaldamage identification applying to health monitoring designs of curved continuous rigidframe also lack of relevant information. Based on above reasons, the main contents of thisarticle are as follows:1This study, base on the damage identification theory, take the project as the studybackground and build the finite element model, analyzes the influence that factors such asthe radius of curvature, longitudinal pier height affect to the curvature mode. Get thecurvature model characteristics of the curved slope continuous rigid frame bridge.2using the finite element model to analyze the multiple and single-damage cases of theupper structure are simulated. And also this study analyze the sensitivity and applicability ofthe damage detection effect of the curved rigid frame bridge when directly curvature modal,curvature modal change rate,immediate curvature modal damage factor in different damage conditions are used as the identifying indicators. Moreover, evaluate the advantages anddisadvantages on various indicators.3This study includes the curvature modal correlation research of the superstructureand substructure of the curved slope continuous rigid frame bridge which occurs at the sametime. Here the interference between the damage of the superstructure and substructure arestudied and the mutual influence relationship between the damage of the superstructure andsubstructure of the curved slope continuous rigid frame bridge are given.4Basing on the above research, analyze the health monitoring of the curved slopecontinuous rigid frame bridge and establish the health monitoring point arrangementscheme, give the project reference to the implementation of the bridge health monitoringsystem, develop the test methods on modal parameter and identify the damage inspection tothe project.
