With the development of maximization and complication for bridge structure, the safety,integrity and durability of long-span bridge structure have become key issues to be resolved,the development of bridge structural health monitoring system is an important way to solvethis problem. Now, structural health monitoring system has been installed in many long-spanbridges in China and abroad, however, there are still many problems in actual operation, suchas its real-time, degree of automation, practicality and weak maintenance managementguidance. Therefore, it is necessary to conduct deep research on bridge structural healthmonitoring system.In this paper, functions and objectives of the WLP special bridge structural healthmonitoring system are used as preconditions to determine projects that are needed to monitor,research is conducted on sensor optimization selection and layout scheme of monitoringpoints; then gives a detailed description of data acquisition and remote monitoring system;finally, analyses basic characteristics of the monitoring data strain, deflection, temperaturedata in last four months, and uses the software Midas Civil to construct a model to compareand analyse the theoretical value and monitoring value, the conclusion of this paper willprovide strong theoretical guidance and technical support to the WLP Bridge custodymaintenance.
