Catenary is a special power supply channels of trains, whether it can supply powernormally or not, will play a significant impact on the safe operation of the railway. Thecatenary is used long-term, transport capacity is increasing. The actual operation shows thatcatenary wire break will lead to incalculable consequences, and has become one of the biggestinfluence of catenary accidents, we must pay more attention to it. Currently in the measurestaken from this regard, wear measurements can not be real-time online monitoring. This paperpresents to detect the tension, temperature and humidity of rope on the catenary anchorcompensation device, for real-time online monitoring.The paper describes the contents of ZigBee technology, such as its characteristics,networking and protocols, realizes wireless communication of system datas through ZigBeenetwork. Also combine with the Agent technology, according to the ideological of Agent, thesystem is divided into four parts, Router Agent, Enddevice Agent, Coordinator Agent and PCAgent. Overall design of the system by the interaction, collaboration and intelligence of Agent,complete the design of intelligent catenary online monitoring system.The design of system includes the design of hardware and software. The design ofhardware includes wireless transceiver module, serial communication modules, theacquisition module of Temperature, humidity and tension, the hardware design of ZigBeenodes. The design of software includes two parts, the use of IAR EW development platformto complete the design of he node functions, including networking and data transmission; theuse of the Java programming language to complete the design of PC real-time monitoringinterface.Finally, the paper test the system, including the network test, data collection test, alarmtest and the communication distance test, the test results show that the functionality andperformance of the system has reached the design requirements.
