Simulation Research Of Airborne Phased Array Radar System Based On Matlab/Simulink

The emergence of phased array radar technology, makes radar more functional, more superiorperformance, and more widely applied. Therefore, the study of phased array radar technology isurgent. Because of its complex electromagnetic environment and expensive cost, it makes the designand research become the problem. Then with the aid of hardware-in-the-loop or all-digital simulation,people hope to complete the corresponding design and research. And thanks for the radar simulationtechnology which come about in the nineties, it provides economic, quick and practical solutions tosolve the problem. Namely, by means of simulation, people can establish a complete digital radarsystem, realize the basic function of radar and extend its function, analyze and study the performanceof radar system under different conditions and decide the optimum parameter. It lays the basis for thedesign and research of radar.Under this background, the article is picked up. Its main goal is to build complete airbornephased array radar simulation system, and do some related experiments and research. The paper firststudies the composition and principle of phased array radar, designs the simulation structure and thesimulation process. Then it focuses on modeling and simulation of phased array radar system,including antenna, signal environment and signal processing simulation，as well as data processingmodeling. Among them, the antenna part mainly does modeling and simulation on antenna. In thesignal environment part, it discusses the linear frequency modulation signal and the target echo signal,designs and generates the clutter, and adds the three signals forming the echo signal; In signalprocessing part, it discusses the pulse compression, moving target indication, constant false alarmdetection and their impact on phased array radar simulation system, and completes simulation andmeasurement of target information; The data processing section respectively studies the trackmanagement, track correlation, and the extended kalman filtering algorithm. Then paper speciallyanalyses the influence of the interference to phased array radar simulation system.Finally, under MATLAB/Simulink environment, phased array radar sub-library is established, thehuman-computer interaction interface is designed, the working process of the phased array radarsimulation system is expounded, different work mode is compared. The paper also discusses how toset radar parameters and target parameters. And under the mode of the search and track (TAS), thepaper realizes the prototype of the airborne phased array radar simulation system, and tests theperformance of the whole system.
