With the rapid development of the technology integrated of optical, mechanical, electronicand measurement, the many aspects of the micro-optics device, such as the design, themanufacturing and the testing technology, have been developed rapidly. Among them, thesurface detection technology is one of the most forefront study directions at home and abroad.The study of this paper is to study the optimization design methods and the applicable scopesof interference measurement system for testing3D optical devices surface morphology, theinterchangeability design of photoelectric experiment instrument and the design methods ofintegrating more functions. On the one hand, the characteristics of the several kinds of popularinterference system, such as Fizeau interference system, Michelson interference system, Miraudifferential interference system and Linnik interference system, and the selection principles ofimportant components, such as the light source in interference system, have been systematicallyanalyzed and illustrated to improve the performance of laser interferometer from the hardware inthe paper. On the other hand, in the perspective of laser interferometer interference imageprocessing technology, Briefly introducing the main general methods about the function designof laser interferometer software, including five big function module, such as test subroutine, dataanalysis subroutine, display subroutine, document management subroutines and imageacquisition subroutine. Systematic analyzing the three-dimensional contour detection technologyused to the laser optical fiber end face detector, which is the phase shifting interference detectiontechnology, a kind of static interference image optimization analysis method has been introducedin this paper, the interference image has been processed by using the method based on theprogram, the quality grade evaluation has been made. At the same time, studying the frontierautofocus technology to control to focus precision instruments through software programmingon the best position of the interference pattern required gathering rapidly and accurately.The fiber end face detector focusing through manual, which is a domestic companyproduction, has been made appropriate optimization design on some extent, including the choiceof light source, optimizing the light path, designing differential interference system and specialfixture used for function extension, using upgraded laser interferometer and the optical fiber endface detector focusing through manual to detect optical fiber end faces respectively to docomparative analysis. The optimized laser interferometer have also detected other surfacemorphology of micro-optical advices, and gained a relative ideal result. To a certain extent, the optimized laser interferometer can well meet the requirements of more practical detection. In theview of the characteristics of the following light path, such as the traditional spectrometer,Miche1son interferometer and the F-P interferometer and the aspects of instrumentinterchangeability, deep studying and preliminarily designing a practical new type of precisioninstrument "digital spectral interferometer", it not only can detect fiber end surface topography,but also can realize a series of optical instrument function.
