AFVISAR(A11 Fiber Velocity Interferometer System for Any Reflector) made up of fiber compoments can measure the velocity for any reflector without touching which is based on the optics doppler effect. It is of great signification to measure high velocity in the high temperature and pression circumstance. The thesis carrid on the research about a new AFVISAR.In the paper, some research has been done about the system's structure, principle and relative experiments. First, the principle of velocity interferometer was elaborated in the paper, and the velocity equation was obtained from two aspects (the relation of the position -time and phase divergence analyzed by least squares method); second, according to the system demand, it finished the pivotal techniques of new AFVISAR including the design of collimation system, fringe constant selection and photoelectrics detecting module. Next, in the view of the coupler wave principle, the influence of the phase divergence and beam proportion in the fiber coupler has been discussed. Finally, test platform was set up to measure the different velocity, the experiments under the loading of Hopkinson bar have been done successfully,equal with measuring instant velocity of shock wave under the three-seven artillery, and the result showed the new AFVISAR could accurately measure the velocity of the moving object in a big dynamic range.
