Based On The City Streets Under The TOD Concept Design

With the rapid development of urban economy, promoting the urbanizationprocess, urban construction activities have made great achievements, the city lookbrand-new. But at the same time, a series of new urban problems hindering thesustainable development of cities, especially in terms of city traffic development andliving environment construction, produced some serious problems and contradictions.For these problems, many developed countries began to review the direction of urbandevelopment, and put forward the TOD, this strategy under the guidance of theschema theory to the urban construction, in recent years, the TOD theory have beenapplied in the construction of urban planning in our country. However, few will TODdesign concept to guide the specific detail space of city design research, such as thedesign of the urban street space, to rediscover the design concept, and to implement itto the whole urban space planning, this paper based on the city streets under the TODconcept design study and discussion, taking Nanchang city as an example for furtherdetailed research.This article first expounds the basic concept of city streets, and analyzes itsfunction elements, through the formation and development of city street, and discoverthe existing problems, which was carried out on the streets in the modern urbanplanning design research and discussion; Introducing TOD idea, clear the definitionand principles, analysis of the advantages of the concept and design in theory and citystreets, combined with the trend of the development of the modern city streets, it isconcluded that the design idea and the connection between the street design and thefeasibility of using; Of modern city street space scale, boundary, facilities such asspatial elements were analyzed, and sums up the TOD design points of the streets inthe concept of design planning; Finally, in order to improve the center city districtstreet design as an example, the application of TOD theory to practical design, thedefects existing in the of Nanchang city center streets block improvementSuggestions, to promote the sustainable development of urban space.
