With the rapid development of social economy, human demand for energy isgrowing increasingly as well. After all, the energy on the planet is limited,somankind set their sights on exploring new energy sources. In the development andutilization of new energy sources, the solar energy has many advantages, and it iswell applied in many fields. In this paper, the PV-LED lighting system based onautomatic solar tracking is a new development and application of automatic solartracking system.Firstly, automatic solar tracking method is analyzed and compared on the basisof the previous achievements, the best solution is presented: that is a mode dependingon the combination about four-quadrant holes interference photoelectric detectortracking and the trajectory of the sun tracing. It can accurately determine the changesof sunlight angles and can make solar photovoltaic panels remain perpendicular to thesun’s rays.Secondly, the automatic solar tracking system based on Atmega16micro-chipcomputer is designed, the system includes the hardware design of photoelectricdetection circuit、microcontroller motor circuit、clock and display circuit and thesoftware design of main program、photoelectric detection tracking module program、trajectory of the sun tracing module program、clock and display module program.Thirdly, in photovoltaic LED lighting system, power control devices are animportant part of the overall system, in this paper,the power supply control devicesmainly collect the voltage and current of charge-discharge control circuit to providethe precise control about charging and discharging of the photovoltaic battery. Inorder to achieve maximum power point tracking (MPPT), some different circuittopologies are analyzed and several common advanced control algorithms arecontrasted, and respectively experimental tests are done in the case of the intensity ofsunlight and the solar cell temperature are kept constant. By testing analysis, theappropriate tracking the maximum power point tracking method is summarizedsuitable for this article, it’s improved disturbance observer method MPPT. In protecting batteries and improving energy efficiency, this paper presents a reasonablecharge control strategy, it’s variable resistance two-stage method of charging. Thisbattery charging method can achieve overvoltage and undervoltage protection, andIt’s able to charge the battery quickly and securely.Finally, the related hardware and software design have been completed in thispaper,and some experimental test have been done,and the test results verify theaccuracy and feasibility of the scheme.
