Planning Study On "Urban Villages" Of Small And Medium-sized Cities Regulation

Along with our country’s urbanization accelerated，Such as social, environmental,landscape and other issues began to apparent in the interaction of urban villages andcities. As cities continue to extend and develop outwards，and accelerating the waterconservancy, communications, transport links and other infrastructure，there will bemore villages classified as urban planning area. On the genesis and morphology,medium and small cities and big cities “Villages”substantially the same；Small andmedium-sized cities in the process of urbanization, slow compared to big cities.Different in medium and small cities "Villages" development and metropolitan in theeconomic level, government policies, feedback mechanisms and implementationmethods, will result difference in the degree of "Villages" phenomenon restrictingurban development and impact of urbanization effect. Big cities have someexperience in the study of "Villages" campaign planning, therefore, thetransformation of small and medium cities "Villages" is imperative. We Should bemore effective to learn from big city village renovation methods and strategies，andcorrect and reasonable deal with the urban villages problem.This paper summarizes the key issues in the study of urban villages，andsummarizes the "Villages" type, status and reasons. By studying foreign scholars forsome Big cities "Villages" to explore its definition, connotation and development law,etc；and combined with several small and medium-sized cities in China urban villagereconstruction experience，for example，village in Jiangxi Xingu city planningreformation, systematic analysis of the medium and small cities "Villages" campaignplanning methods and the problem which should pay attention to. We hope thisresearch can help raise the theoretical and informative advice to small and mediumcities "Villages" remediation planning.
