Inductively coupled power transfer(ICPT) technology transfers power from powersource to pick-up side across a magnetic-field through wireless mode. Since it containsnonlinear elements, including high-frequency converter, coupled magnetic circuit,resonant network. Which makes the system has a very complex mathematical property,extremely sensitive in the various parameters and disturbances. Especially, randomposition changing of the pickup mechanism will easily result in decreasing theperformance and stability of the system. How to improve its performance and stabilityof the system when position of the pickup mechanism changes, to guarantee the qualityof system, it is in urgent need, also an important issue to research.This article is based on inductively coupled power transfer system in my lab. Themain research is characteristics of the system when position of the pickup mechanismchanges, and focus on improving power and efficiency of the system.Firstly, it analyzes ICPT systems with primary structures are series and parallel,the relationship between the primary current, secondary current, the total impedance,output power with mutualinductance, and analyzes its characteristics above mentionedwhen position of the pickup mechanism changes based on the structures of primary areseries and parallel. Proposing a magnetic coupling mechanism design flow, simulationanalysis about mutualinductance changes with the pickup mechanism position of thecommonly used magnetic coupling mechanism is done by Ansoft Maxwell.It analyzes parameters setting of SPS structure which has an obvious higher qualitywhen position of the pickup mechanism changes than four basic topology structures.Analyzes the relationship between power and mutual inductance then models it.Based on floating frequency control and constant frequency control, then startedfrom constant frequency control, introduced dynamic compensation inductance resonatecontrol and dynamic switching capacitor array resonate control. Proposed a method todetect the resonant state, and introduced perturbation and observation method based onthis resonate control method. It achieves a good control effect.After summing up and got the actual circuit topology of the inductively coupledpower transfer system, it builds an ICPT system with resonate control, completed theload shifting experiment based on the experiment platform, finishing the resonatecontrol experiment of the load shifting, analyzing the experimental waveforms, validating the feasibility of resonate control. It also does the experiment of cutting outthe load completely, which proves the system’s security when the load is completely cutout. The experimental verifies that feasibility and practicality of the design and resonatecontrol technology in this article.
