Computer multimedia technology is applied to simulate the environment of the surroundings in virtual reality technology, and the supporting hardware equipments are applied to simulate the feelings of the human body, such as visual sense, auditory sense, taste sense, and tactile sense, etc, which makes the participants to produce the experience of the actual surroundings. In order to remove the fear of charged equipment from the living-workers, and improve their skills, enhance their safety awareness, a lot of training should be done to reach these aims. But the living working trainings are limited by the field, the weather and the level of technology, etc, which is not as good as expected. Based on the virtual reality technology, live working simulation training system can make the workers master the standard transmission line live working methods by simulating the field work environment and operation process.based on summarizing the existing training technology of live working, this paper proposes training methods which is combination of emulation and on-site training, combined with information technology such as virtual reality technology. This paper focus on live working training methods of UHV transmission line combined with live working technical features of the UHV transmission line, and developed the live working simulation training system for1000kV AC transmission line. This article also designs the supporting hardware, such as sensor gloves, data helmets, etc. The system has skills competition on the network, collaboration, simulation operation, data query, training management and many other functions. The system covers the voltage level from lOkV to1000kV transmission and distribution lines live. It develops a new model of live working training and provides users with standardized, normalized, high efficiency, low-cost simulation training environment.
