Jigging has three main advantages than other methods in coal processing: More capacity, simpler process flow and much wider feeding size fraction. These superiorities could show up more apparently in separating lump coal or gangue. Thus, jigging separation, as an important way of coal processing, will continue functioning for a long period of time. Flexible air chamber jig can solve the problem of uneven distribution of pulsating flow, making it possible for building lager-sized jigging. However, the air bag is easy to break down, causing a lot of troubles in maintenance and repair work.For those many reasons, this article tries to analyze the injury of the air bag by experiment and force simulation of the bag, eventually gives valuable basis and suggestion to improve the service life of the air bag.The first step is shooting the motion process of different material airbag using the high-speed dynamic camera, then processing the image by matched analysis software so as to obtain the deformation law of gasbag, which is one of the key factors influencing the airbag deformation. Based on the deformation situation, this article analyses the factors that cause gasbag deformation and finds that the law, location and size of gasbag deformation is different for different materials. Therefore, the air bag material is one of the main factors that affect the fatigue life of the airbag.After that, the researcher extract the image data collected by high-speed dynamic camera and model the airbag through Solid works, carry on the simulation of different materials ‘performance using ANSYS Workbench to analyze the stress distribution and the airbag life. Finally, the article provides a basis and suggestion for improving the life of airbag based on the results of field research and simulated conditions.Excepted for the analysis of the airbag life, this research do some work on how the airbag material affect the jigging processing from the jigging bed stability and layered process of particles based on motion process of the particulate bed videoed by high-speed dynamic camera and movement data of water flow collected by sensors.
