This paper studied the high pressure water jet cutting machine made up of hydraulic driving mechanism, reversing mechanism, promoting and clamping mechanism and hydraulic support institutions which was a kind of equipment using high pressure water jet technology to drill and slot in coal mining in order to improve the efficiency of gas drainage of coal seam with low permeability.Hydraulic propulsion was the core institution of high pressure water jet cutting machine for drilling and slotting, whose working process of hydraulic system affected the efficiency of gas drainage directly. Therefore, the hydraulic propulsion system of high pressure water jet cutting machine was studied.The hydraulic propulsion and clamping mechanism of high pressure water jet cutting machine, the main research object, were analyzed. First, the working principle of hydraulic propulsion system of high pressure water jet cutting machine was introduced, and the key components including clamping mechanism, propulsion mechanism, drawing mechanism were listed in detail.On this basis, 3d modeling and assembly of hydraulic propulsion and clamping mechanism of high pressure water jet cutting machine were established by Pro/Eincluding back cover of clamping device, piston of clamping device, clamping block of clamping device, front cover of clamping device, and front cover panel imported into ADAMS through the interface of software to establish dynamics model. After that, part parameters of hydraulic propulsion system of high pressure water jet cutting machine were analyzed detailedly and hydraulic model of the hydraulic propulsion system of high pressure water jet cutting machine was accomplished using AMESim. In the end, the hydraulic propulsion system of high pressure water jet cutting machine was analyzed after finishing co-simultion of dynamics in ADAMS and hydraulic in AMESim. Through the simulation analysis of propulsion and recovery of simulation model, the speed curve, flow curve and pressure curve belonging to clamping and releasing process of clamping mechanism, promoting and recycling process of propulsion mechanism and promoting process of drawing mechanism were obtained. Due to the special structure of clamping mechanism, the clamping block was analyzed in ADAMS to get the curves of velocity, acceleration and force. Finally, the fluctuation in the curve was analyzed, and some improvement opinions of structure design of clamping block were offered to reduce impact of stroke on both ends of the cylinder head.Through the co-simulation of hydraulic propulsion system of high pressure water jet cutting machine, the reference of parameter selection and optimize design was provided, and research methods for other hydraulic systems were offered, which had some practical significance in reducing research time ofhydraulic system and lowing cost.
