Xinjiang is an important cotton base in China, with half of the country’s production, which play an important role in ensuring the national cotton supply. Seed cotton moisture regain is not only affected cotton safety storage and transportation, processing system stability, processing quality, the important factors is the important basis of cotton trade settlement, the authenticity of its measurement and data affecting cotton acquisition merchants and the economic interests of the farmers. At present, the cotton seed cotton moisture regain of Xinjiang still basically rely on manual measurement,the measurement methods not only sampling time is long, low efficiency, big labor intensity, and the authenticity of the data are greatly influenced by artificial factors, severely restricted the economic development of Xinjiang cotton industry.At present, the Xinjiang cotton seed cotton moisture regain is also dependent on manual measurement, the measurement methods not only sampling time is long, low efficiency, hign labor intensity,and the authenticity of the data are greatly influenced by artificial factors, severely restricted the economic development of Xinjiang cotton industry.This article in view of the existing seed cotton moisture regain measuring device, designed a data acquisition instrument positioning control system, and the system with PLC as the main controller, using kingview man-machine interface as PC, not only can realized the measuring device of data acquisition instrument reciprocating linear motion in three-dimensional space, also can realized the measurement device running time, real-time monitoring of running status. The research of this system to reduce the labor intensity, improve the acquisition efficiency, reduce artificial factors influence on data authenticity, realize the automation of seed cotton moisture regain, intelligent measurement is of great significance.Through the research of Xinjiang cotton processing factory to understand the seed cotton moisture regain measuring process existing problems of Xinjiang, on the basis of analysis of motor control system at home and abroad, according to the design principle of electric control system, determined the overall scheme of seed cotton moisture regain measuring apparatus control system.PLC control system was designed according to the whole structure and control requirements of existing seed cotton moisture regain measuring device.Completed the selection of PLC and PLC I/O Field devices, used CAD drawing software to complete the main electrical wiring diagram and PLC I/O wiring diagram drawing; The PLC ladder diagram programming was completed by using GX developer programming software.Carried out the definition of variables and the external equipment, man-machine interface design and command language programming using the Kingview software, realized the random running time of diving motor given by PLC,completed the control of the mechanical transmission mechanisms Cooperated with PLC and monitoring the running status and time of the transmission mechanisms.The mechanical equipment control system was set up and communication was provided between the associated devices on the basis of the above research,Carried out the debugging and running of the control system, the results showed that the control system can be safe, reliable and steady running,realized the positioning control of the seed cotton moisture regain data acquisition instrument,laid the foundation for the automatic and intelligent measurement of seed cotton moisture regain.
