The low count wool was blended with water-soluble PVA fiber, and dissolving the carrier PVA fiber in the finishing process. Then the high count wool fabrics(low line density, small square meter weight) were obtained. The product which has similar style of cashmere scarf was delicate, soft, glossy and pleasant. But, excellent drapability and characteristic style were not shown by this kind of comforter because of serious electrostatic phenomenon in the actual production. This caused distress to the production and development of the products. Combined with the actual needs of the plant, the antistatic finishing process on the wool fabrics was studied. In this paper, the wool fabrics blended with PVA fibers were used as the main research object and the dissolving PVA fibers process was optimized. The results showed that if the PVA was not removed clearly, the charge was accumulated on the surface of high count wool fabric more easily. The best condition for the dissolving PVA fibers is acid dissolving. Though single factor test, the best conditions were obtained as follow: concentrated sulfuric acid can promote the dissolution of PVA fiber can be promoted by the concentrated sulfuric acid. pH=3, holding time was 30 min, incubation temperature was 95℃. To ensure the good performance of high count wool fabric and the dissolving PVA fibers rate reached 51.7%.The anti-static properties are of the cationic, anionic, non ionic, amphoteric, anionic/non compound and cationic/non antistatic agents on the high count wool fabrics were compared. Through some single factor and orthogonal experiments, it was obtained that antistatic agent 570 was the optimal for the antistatic finishing of the high count wool fabrics. The optimal finishing process of antistatic agent 570: concentration of antistatic agent 570 was 30g/L, bath temperature was 55℃, finishing time was 30 min, pH value was 8. After finished by the antistatic agent 570,the peak voltage was reduced from 1307 V to 723 V,the half-period of fabrics finished reached 0.29 s.The anti-static properties of the fabrics reached textile standard A.Chitosan and TiO2 were used on the antistatic finishing of the high count wool fabrics. It was found that: Chitosan and TiO2 improved the antistatic property of the high count wool fabrics. But the effect was not better than that of the conventional type antistatic agent. The best process of chitosan finishing: chitosan concentration was 1.0%, water bath temperature was 50℃, finishing time was 20 min, the working pH value was 5 and curing conditions was 120℃×2min. After being finished under the optimal process, the peak voltage of the fabric was reduced from 1297 V to 661 V, and the half- period was increased from >60s to 19.35 s.The optimal process of TiO2 : concentration of TiO2 was 1.2g/L, water bath was 60℃×30min,baking conditions was120℃×2min. The peak voltage was reduced from 1307 V to 723 V, and the half-period was increased from >60s to 29.19 s.
