In this paper, the comprehensive analysis has been on the present situation and the development tendency of the new infrared smoke screen jamming material. Then the preparation of two smoke materials and their infrared extinction properties in the application of smoke screen are explored.First of all, on the basis of the research of infrared smoke screen materials and the theories of preparing for the composite materials as components of smokescreen agent, the calcium carbonate and silica aerogel are chosen as matrix materials and the process conditions of composite material are optimized by adjusting the experimental parameters. Then the physicochemical properties for the samples are characterized by FTIR, XRD, et al. Two new smoke materials have been prepared through the experiments.After that, the preparing methods of smoke agent are explored. Based on the designing principle and formula composition of combustion-type anti-infrared smoking agent, the optimal combustible agent, oxidizing agent, binder and infrared functional additive are chosen for the experiments. The quality of each composition proportion is calculated by oxygen balance and combustion reaction equation, orthogonal experiment scheme and some related combustion experiment are used to optimize the formula, and the best combination of formula is determined.Then, the infrared transmittance of the samples is tested and analyzed when they are used as infrared functional additives in the combustion reaction and then produce aerosol system, the infrared extinction performance of various kinds of materials is also contrasted.Finally, after summarizing the above research, another kind of inorganic powder is modified by chemical plating and Zn/CaCO3 composite powders is obtained. The condition of the chemical plating technology is also optimized, at the same time, the morphology, composition of the composite and its infrared attenuation effect are analyzed.The results of research show that the calcium carbonate powder and silica aerogel powder and their composite materials all have good infrared attenuation effect and the infrared camouflage properties of compound powder materials are better than their raw materials.
