With the widely use of tea saponin in many fields, the study of tea saponin extraction and purification process has been increased gradually. Especially in recent years, a lot of new extraction and purification methods have been reported. Although good results have been obtained under the experimental conditions, these methods are not easy to be used in industrial production because of equipment and production capacity.In this study, the detection method of tea saponin has been studied firstly. The experimental material was degreased tea seed meal. The experimental method simulated a continuous extraction. The factor which influence the tea saponin has been investigated. Using microfiltration-ultrafiltration-nanofiltration membrane to separate and purify tea saponin. Obtained high purity tea saponin products. The main results of the experiment were as follows:1. Quantitative analysis method of the tea saponin:vanillin-sulfuric acid color reaction has been analyzed. Determining the maximum absorption wavelength 540 nm. Standard curve equation is y=0.0015x-0.0885. The correlation coefficient r=0.9991. The relative standard deviation is 1.13%. Reclaimable rate of adding standard sample is 89.5%-97.7%.2. The method of extraction tea saponin after tea meal granulation was proposed for the first time. Firstly, the parameters of industrial granulation were optimized:steam pressure 0.1 Mpa, ring mold speed 150 rpm, materials watered 10 kg/100 kg. Secondly, continuous countercurrent extraction was simulated for extraction tea saponin. The methanol extraction and ethanol extraction was studied separately. Then followed by investigation extraction temperature, extraction time, material moisture content on tea saponin residue. After that, optimum extraction of tea saponin was obtained through orthogonal test L9 (33). The results of methanol extract were extraction temperature 55 ℃, extraction time 150min, material moisture content 8.31%. Under these conditions, the tea saponin residue was 1.29%. Ethanol extract results were extraction temperature 65 ℃, extraction time 120min, material moisture content 6.57%. Under these conditions, the tea saponin residue was 1.79%.3. The composite membrane combined techniques have been taken to separate and purify tea saponin.0.5μm pore size of microfiltration, MWCO 5000 Da ultrafiltration membrane, nanofiltration membrane MWCO 150Da were used by the author. Considering the effect of tea saponin purification, yield and through put to optimize ultrafiltration membrane purification process. Ultrafiltration purification purity of 86.5% were obtained after the optimization. After tea saponin composite membrane purification purity increased from an initial 57.1% to 88.1%, the yield was 69.9%. Finally, we obtained tea saponin products through, which color is pale yellow.
