So far by now the short inspection period of rod pump is a main problem exposed in the development of ASP areas of Daqing oil field. The inspection period can be only 10 to 30 days during the high level of scaling period with a 70 percent scaleing ratio. When the rod pump is stuck, aciding would be carried out with a high probability of failure. It can result in cost increasing and time wasting. That’s a bottleneck of oil industrial production.We design a new type of rod pump which has functions of anti-scaling and anti-stuck. Some pump are put into oil field application test now.We analyze the working condition of ASP flooding areas of Daqing oil field.We improve the structure of existing rod pump and make numerical simulation on key components by ANSYS software.We have made some indoor experiments and carried out on-site application in oil field.The indoor and field experiments results show that: the anti-stuck rod pump has longer inspection period than normal pump in ASP areas of Daqing oil field. There is a very wide application prospect of the pump.
