The need of non-phosphorus agents is increasing because of environmental issue, and non-phosphorus agents have become a hot spot in circulating water field. In this paper, the development and rapid detection methods of non-phosphorus agents were studied.(1) Polyethylenimine(PEI) is a non-phosphorus and environment-friendly agent. In order to apply PEI in circulating cooling water system, relevant aspects were studied. The inhibition efficiency and mechanism of PEI in different situation were studied by weight-loss and electrochemical experiment. Also, the dispersibility, zinc stability rate and complex prescription of PEI were investigated. The results showed that PEI was a mixed corrosion inhibitor which mainly inhibited the cathodic reaction. PEI had good dispersibility and ability of stabilizing zinc. The non-phosphorus complex prescription of PEI, PESA and ODD(Seventeen alkenly amide ethyl imidazoline quaternary ammonium salt) had good scale and corrosion inhibition performance.(2) A method using gold immunochromatographic assay for rapid detection of water treatment agents was provided in circulating cooling water system. The tracer Melamine was stable and inert, also the strip test was accurate. After mixing the tracer with water agents according to a certain proportion, the range of water treatment agents could be estimated by strip test. The results showed that tracing water treatment agents utilizing gold immunochromatographic assay was convenient and rapid, and could also realize on-site detection. This method had good practical value and application prospect.
