Science and technology progress, social development, today’s people are not satisfied with the food and clothing and well-off, the pursuit of quality of life has gradually become a new trend of the times. To enhance the quality of life of the important role to bear the brunt as green food, and the vast majority of green food are due to the geographical characteristics of agricultural products yield and quality advantage, which is derived from the the unique characteristics of the local green food. But it is also due to the limitation of green food by region, coupled with the producers tend to brand awareness weak, leading to the local characteristics of the green products is very difficult to get out of such geographical barriers to be able to adapt to the trend of the commodity market brand products. Based in Heilongjiang green food market, the development trend of packaging and realistic significance, through the analysis, from the start of the packaging design of material, structure, graphics, text, color, layout, and so on, of art how to design in Heilongjiang green food packaging design in reflect local characteristics, so as to achieve the packaging of the original purpose, and enhance the brand value, promote sales growth, are a series of illustrated and discussed in the paper. For our design staff in daily contact with this kind of packaging design products mainly from the following aspects of first grasp the "people-oriented" the basic principle that fit the local ethnic characteristics; the second combined with market demand, cultural characteristics.
