Application And Research Of Bionic Design In Home Textiles

With the worsening of human living environment, the acceleration of life pace,and the increase of life stress, it can, to some extends, relieve the pressure suffered by people physically and psychologically to apply bionics to household textile design.First of all, the research on the development of bionics is summarized in this article with the bionic design and household textiles as the research object. It also defines the range of household textile, sketches out the content, constituent elements and characteristics of household textile design; it states the research on the status quo of household textile market; analyzes the status quo and existing problems of household textile design based on the research result; and puts forward design strategy of product design, which provides a basis for the innovation and development of household textile design.Second, the article discusses the feasibility of applying bionics design to household textile, and proposes the idea and methods of applying representational and abstract form bionic to the form and pattern design of household textile as well as its serialized and supportive design. It analyzes the application of bionic in the color design of household textile, and argues that importance should be attached to the serialized and supportive color design of household textile. The idea and method of bionic practice by using brand-new type of yarn and different fabrics are discussed in this article. New process, new technologies and new methods of household textile production are introduced as well. It presents a creative thinking and way in terms of form design, pattern design and color design of household textile.Finally, the serialized household textiles are produced through using the way of bionic design. Taking Albizia julibrissin that symbolizes the happiness of a whole family as the design theme, the shape of the flower was observed and simulated; and the craftsmanship of digital printing and three-dimensional embroidery was combinedinto the production too. It offers new ideas and production methods to household textiles design.
