The Silk Road was the link, which linked the East and the West in ancient time. The sogdian region in the middle section of the Silk Road fuses the culture, which comes from the East and the West, the ancient central Asia minority——the Sogdian lived here. Since the Han period, Sogdians arrived in China along the Silk Road, and they were not only trade intermediaries. They were religion and art communicators. They absorbed the multi-cultural arts, formed its unique style of Sogdian. Partial Sogdians that came to China to do business dwelt in Central Plains because of various reasons, at the same time, and dress culture of Central Plains was enriched. In the Tang Dynasty, Sogdian region was brought into the territory of Tang. It had become a part of the Chinese nation since then.This paper starts with the tombs and murals related to Sogdians at home and abroad, combining epigeal brocade design patterns of the period, which are regarded as example illustration object, and separately states domestic and foreign. And this paper respectively teases costume of Sogdians of local Sogdian region and costume of migrant Sogdians. Based on the costume contents, which are well teased, then deep-seated analysis for the culture contained by the Sogdian costume is done, and cultural connotations owned by Sogdian costume are an unscrambled from the natural environment, political economy, religious culture, exchanges and integration between Western ethnic minorities.Research on Sogdian costumes, according to their characteristics, the author makes self-painted Sogdian costume effect picture. Sogdian costume image data is enriched, while the costume face of Sogdian, which was a missing ancient nation, is shown to the world. The author hopes to offer own little strength for the research of the minority costume along the Silk Road.
