This paper is focus on developing a kind of health food Compound Ginseng Fruit Granules(CGFG). CGFG has effects of alleviating physical fatigue and protectting people from radiation injury.This paper completed the studies of CGFG on formulation slection, extraction process, preparation techniques, quality standard, etc.Ginseng fruit, Rhodiola, Ganoderma Lucidum and Medlar are used as main raw materials of the health food. This formulation is come from the theory of traditional Chinese medicine, pharmacological and state regulations on the materials of health food and other relevant provisions.And safety dosages of various raw materials are also determined according to the Chinese Pharmacopoeia(2010) and other references.Both orthogonal tests and the actual situation of the production were considered in the determination of extraction process.Ultra high pressure extraction technology was used in Ginseng fruit extracting,and the extractive rate of total saponins of Panax Ginseng was used as monitoring index in the selection process, the extract method is: the materials were extracted with 3 times amount of water for 4mins under the pressure of 450 Mpa, then the extract was filtered, and the filtrate was made to powder by spray drying.Rhodiola was extracted with the ethanol by refluxing, the extractive rate of salidroside was used as monitoring index,the extract method is: the materials were extracted with 8 times amount of ethanol(70%) for 2 hours in each time, repeat 3 times; filtered and merged the filtrate,removed the ethanol under vacuum distillation(60 ℃,-0.06Mpa),reserved the concentrated solution(Rhodiola concentration). Ganoderma Lucidum and Medlar were extracted by water,crude polysaccharide extractive rate was used as monitoring index, the extract method is: the materials were extracted with 10 times the amount of water for 2 hours in each time, repeat 3 times; filtered and merged filtrate, then the filtrate combined with the Rhodiola concentration, and made to thick paste the relative density was 1.25~1.30(60℃).By using the single factor investigation and taking properties, hydroscopicity, moisture, angle of reposeas indexes,the preparation technique was determined as:raw materials(Ginseng fruit extract powder and the thick paste) and sugar(smashed and screened by mesh size of 80)mixed with the ratio of 1:2.5~1:3,mixing for 15 mins, add some 85% ethanol and continued to mix for 20-30mins; granulated by 14 mesh sieve,fluidized dried under 50-60℃, then screened and gathered the particles that can pass 10 mesh sieve as well as can not pass 40 mesh sieve.The effective ingredient transfer rate and the product yield are stable and the results of three full-scale batches are satisfying when magnifed the experiment as above procedure.Studies of the quality standard of CGFG completed.The properties,functional components, physical and chemical characteristic,microbiological and net weight were investigated. The total saponins and salidroside were functional components, and were used as content guideline.The content of total saponins which was determined by ultraviolet-visible spectrophotometry should not be less than 500mg/100g; The content of salidroside which was determined by HPLC should not be less than 40mg/100 g.Health food CGFG, which is made of Ginseng fruit, Rhodiola, Ganoderma Lucidum and Medlar,was developed successfully. It has function of alleviating physical fatigue and radioprotection.The studies provided a basis of the health food CGFG declaration and production.
