With economic development, the number of motor vehicles has increased every year. In order to improve traffic safety and efficiency,various units, companies demand for strengthening the management of associated motor vehicles more strongly.The problem need to be solved in oilfield vehicle monitoring research is how to show their locations on the vehicle platform software. The traditional method is based on the combination GPS + GPRS communication, but this approach in oil sector has its limitations. First, some oilfields are located not only in remote areas with bad communication network coverage, but also in a bad signal coverage place without good service by mobile service providers’ base stations. They will lead to the situation that the vehicle to be monitored cannot report their position to the platform software. Second, companies can also build their own communication base stations specially, however their construction and maintenance costs are too high; besides infrastructure areas’ location coordinates, such as oil stations, pipeline, oil district roads should be treated as confidential information. We need to ensure the security of such information in the production process.Beidou satellite navigation system as a China’s self-developed navigation system will not help us get rid of dependence on foreign navigation system, but help maintain our economic, information, defense and security. Beidou navigation mainly contains RDSS and RNSS, the former has capabilities to report the location, you can report your location without relying on other facilities such as base stations. Compass short message function allows the terminal to transmit location information to platform. Moreover monitoring platform not only need to display maps and surface features, but also need to display interface optimized to prevent the display of important geographical factors from unrelated to the occlusion by other geographic features simultaneous display. It will affect the user’s reading experience.This paper analyzes the Map Server’s workflow and the method of publishing electronic map based on monitoring platform by Mapfile. This paper designs an optimization method of display on the platform Finding a way to solve the problem that geographic features automatic classification in different levels and distinction on the display styles by sub-level display. The problem that display of distinguishing the classification results in different scales has been solved. The method of display not only optimizes the user’s reading experience, but also improves the efficiency of map loading. Map Server combines with the other parts of the framework.Then this paper introduces the Eclipse development environment and configuration of Android. This paper designs the functions of the map display and location targeting and introduces these functions’ principle, implementation and critical part of the code, and the showing of the functions results.
