Research Of The Technologies Of Multi-wire Metal Electrochemical Wire Cutting

Electrochemical wire cutting is a new metal cutting process, in which the wire acts as the cathode to cut the workpiece dissolved at atomic sizes,with the advantages of a wide range of process,high processing efficiency,good surface quality and the losslessness of tools.In this paper,the following work has been done:(1)The model of the electrochemical wire cutting theory is put forward,and the influence factors of the electrochemical wire cutting processing precision and efficiency are analyzed.(2)A system of the multi-wire metal electrochemical wire cutting has been designed and developed,including five parts: a multi-wire device for the wire fixation and tension, a system of machining power,a system of electrolyte circulating and filter,the motion platform and the control system.(3)This paper has done electrochemical wire cutting experiments with different electrolytes,including two single electrolytes and a mixed electrolyte.Though the experiments with a single factor,it has made analyzes of the load voltage,the moving speed of the wire electrode,the orifice and the electrolyte concentration on the influences of the processing quality of the cutting seam width and width standard deviation.(4)According to the problem of the broken wire,this paper has analyzed the reasons of the broken wire for single NO.1 electrolyte with major components of NaCl solution and single NO.2 electrolyte with major components of NaNO3 solution.(5)With the the optimized parameters,This paper has done the processing experiment of single NO.1 electrolyte with a simple typical graphics,the precision processing experiment of single NO.2electrolyte with two times and the processing experiment of mixed electrolyte multi-wire electrochemical wire cutting.The expectant aims of the results of these processing experiment have been obtained.
