Viscose fiber which is one of the earliest chemical fibers was put in industrial production. Due to the good moisture absorption, wearing comfortable, can be spun well, was often blended and interwoven with cotton, wool or a variety of synthetic fiber, used for all kinds of clothing and decorative textiles. Viscose fiber is a kind of widely used chemical fiber. A few decades ago, in Chinese aging fiber plant, the large number of operating workers and heavy tasks, in order to keep a sober mind and every step of the production process, workers should specially carefully operate, a slight mistake can easily lead to product quality problems and even personal injury accident. Some small-sized PLC systems are able to replace the workers to operate the operation in the part of the production process section. However, in recent years, along with the rapid development of the industrial automation process control theory and computer technology, the production process of the control system reliability, operational ability, expansion ability, openness, operation and monitoring level present increasingly higher requirements. Nowadays, modern chemical fiber factories have built a central control room in the core position of the plant, the control room sets up a number of computer operator stations for monitoring and control. In the past, the workers need to pay close attention to production around the field devices and read field instrumentation data around, are now greatly reduced, only need a few of them to be aware well of the whole plant production through the operator station in the control room operators. The SIEMENS PCS7 process control system is a new generation of process control system which is developed in this situation to meet the requirements of viscose manufacturing process. The system which is based on the SIEMENS PCS 7 distributed control system and S7 series hardware, combined with the most advanced electronic manufacturing technology, network communication technology, graphics and image processing technology, field bus technology, computer technology and advanced automation control theory, is advanced process control system for meeting viscose production process control applications.
