In recent years, frequent haze weather causes more serious harm in our country. Haze pollution has attracted people’s attention. For the main culprit causing haze--PM2.5, domestic researchers has carried out extensive research. However, people rarely study the distribution of PM2.5. Few studies on the distribution of PM2.5 in vertical direction in the air less, mainly because it is difficult to get airborne PM2.5 measurement data.In response to these problems, a system of PM2.5 nearly stratigraphic vertical distribution measurement is designed, which based on a six-rotor UAV. The system measures the air through the PM2.5 measurement module in the UAV. Measurement module can transmit data back to the ground station through wireless transmission systems in real time, and the data will be saved.Multi-rotor UAV has a simple structure, stable flight, contained significant other significant advantages. And multi-rotor UAV can loiter and vertical take off. Which is articularly suited to do some experiments on measuring nearly vertical strata for atmospheric research. A six-rotor UAV is designed as a aerial measurement platform,which can pull 2kg weights. Because of UAV flight control system is very complex, this UAV using APM international open source flight control systems. Now the energy density of the battery is limited. To maximize endurance UAV, this paper studied the efficiency of the rotor and the motor. Try to make the rotor has the best match with the motor under the premise to meet the load demand. UAV’s production process is relatively simple, but later the debugging process is more complex. A reliable and stable UAV is the prerequisite for the success of the entire system.PM2.5 measurement unit includes onboard measuring module and PC-side data monitoring software in the ground station. This paper used a small PM2.5 optical measurement sensor, which was developed in the STM32 design platform. The PM2.5 data monitoring software was written by VB language. In order to verify the measurement function properly, a lot of testing calibration was done.Finally, PM2.5 of 0~150m height in the vertical direction was measured in the system test.
