Thermoplastic elastomer has high elasticity, aging resistance, oil resistance and other excellent properties of traditional cross-linking vulcanized rubber. Injection molding, extrusion, blow molding could be used to produce thermoplastic elastomer like common plastic. Thermoplastic elastomer has a lot of advantages, but there are still some shortcomings, its compression deformation, resilience and durability are worse than rubber etc.. Through improving technology and equipment to prepare new thermoplastic elastomer that makes it becomes a new rubber material of energy saving and environmental protection, the development prospects are very promising and the significance is great.In this paper the method of using micro-nano laminated technology to prepare thermoplastic elastomer was researched. Using micro-nano laminated technology and device to prepare a new thermoplastic elastomer. Extruder, junction station, laminated device and die head were connected to compose micro-nano laminated device. The extruder was included with rubber extruder and plastic extruder. Laminated device as the core device of micro-nano laminated device has reverse laminated device and same laminated device. Polymer melt was divided into a few parts, every part twisted 90 degrees and broadened at the same time to achieve convergence in laminated device. Polymer melt could flow symmetrically in the equal channel of laminated device, the fluid after merging was more uniform. Multilayer laminated structure polymer composites could be prepared by micro-nano laminated device. The thickness of single layer of multilayer laminated structure polymer composites could be controlled by screw speed of extruder, number of laminated device and outlet size of die head. The number of layers could be controlled by the number of laminated device. The sequence of layers could be controlled by the connected sequence of reverse laminated device and same laminated device.In this paper the multilayer composite material made by co-blend and co-extrusion using micro-nano laminated device was mixed with vulcanization system additives by double roller plastic mixing mill after crushing. The crushed composite material of multilayer rubber-adhesive-plastic structure was mixed evenly with additives. Then it was vulcanized with the flat vulcanizing machine to prepare new thermoplastic elastomer. The microstructure, mechanical property and thermal property of the new thermoplastic elastomer made by co-blend and co-extrusion were analyzed contrastively in this paper, the tensile strength, elongation at break, tear strength of thermoplastic elastomer made by micro-nano laminated co-extrusion method were larger than the thermoplastic elastomer maded by co-blend, the compression permanent deformation was lower than the thermoplastic elastomer maded by co-blend, the hardness of thermoplastic elastomer made by the two methods were almost the same, the particle size of vulcanized rubber maded by co-extrusion was smaller and its distribution was more uniform. The feasibility of preparing thermoplastic elastomer technology based on micro-nano laminated technology was explored in this paper.
