In this paper, the high silica porcelain with high mechanical strength and soft whiteness was prepared by using the method of single factor experiment with quartz, feldspar, clay, talc as the raw material and adding few linchuan kaolinite to optimize the formulation. The performance of green body was tested and the technical indicated that water absorption was less than 0.5%, firing shrinkage rate was from 13.13% to 13.36% and whiteness of 78.7%-83.4%, the suitable burning temperature ranged from 1290℃-1330℃, and the resitance to blending strength is 98.4MPa~118.2MPa,thermal expansion coefficient of 5.89×10-6~6.87×10-6/℃(20℃-800℃).Also the plasticity index of high silica porcelain was 5.78 cm·Kg, it’ll be best effect to use the complex liquefaclent with add sodium silicate of 0.2% and sodium polyacrylate of 0.2% acting on the dilution of slurry. The result showed that the microstructure of high-silica body with XRD,SEM and other analytical means such as routine test was mainly composed of high temperature quartz phase, mullite, cristobalite phase and glass phase, and a small amount of stomata. The less amount of feldspar and the finer grain size of quartz, the more content of cristobalite; The blending strength increased constantly with the raise of temperature, because the main phase grain distribution in the microstructure was dense and uniform, which made the body be tight and had higher strength. It’s successfully prepared the transparent glaze of high gloss that well adapted, which combined with the properties of the body. The brightness of transparent glaze can reach 114 when the sintering temperature is 1310℃.
