In the process of the development of human society, natural disasters are always hand, how to effectively resist disasters, promoting social steady development, is the human eternal topic need to face and solve. In recent years, the social from all walks of life gradually realized that the local community or national regions rid of the importance and application value of traditional folk culture, they are dependent on local natural ecology and human environment, tend to implementation of the regional disaster management work is an important source of information. Yushu Tibetan folk culture is rich and diverse of natural disasters, these traditional folk cultures can help people better understand and deal with natural disasters.From folklore as the research Angle of view, this paper has broken the natural science study of disaster management, interdisciplinary methods, study the relevance between folk culture and regional disaster management, establish associated with disaster management theory in the study of folk culture, and then found respect folk culture’s disaster management practices. Study, based on the special natural environment and humane environment and the traditional Tibetan folk culture, build a harmonious and unified system of space and time, to meet the people living in the special environment and condition of material and spiritual needs. These imply abundant folk culture connotation, traditional Tibetan culture, still full of charm, also for the future of the modern disaster management by government work to provide the reference and application, is should be attention and inheriting the precious local cultural heritage. At the same time, the adaptability of the Qinghai-Tibet plateau Tibetan herdsmen cannot only depend on the herdsmen’s own knowledge and resource management mechanism at the community level, only the pastoralists, government departments at the grass-roots level, the scientific research worker, national policy decision-making body, are actively involved, as well as other social from all walks of life force, can effectively improve disaster adaptability of the Tibetan people.
