As the development and progress of society, ensure petroleum chemical industry development and the safety of production. The combustible gas and toxic gas leakage and supervision are very important. The government have issued some norms and standards of dangerous gas detector and monitoring. Gas detector is also upgrading constantly, but due to the domestic research of gas detection equipment started late relatively, gas detector have some disadvantages, such as lack of long-term stability, poor anti-interference and communication ability and some other problems, so developing a kind of portable multi-gas detector with wireless communication capability is very necessary. In this paper, present portable multi-gas detector design based on STM32.The design is a kind of detector with the function of wireless communication multi-gas detector based on STM32. It can detect methane, carbon monoxide, and hydrogen sulfide and oxygen four kinds of gas simultaneously and it has a period and time display, charge and discharge management. According to the relevant specification requirements of gas detector, and present the method of catalytic combustion type and electric chemical type of the gas concentration of collection and sending warning letter to other detector nearby in the form of wireless data transmission directly. Compare with the traditional method of sending alarm signal from the control room, response time of the field personnel is increased greatly.This paper study mainly hardware and software design. In aspect of hardware, mainly design signal collection circuit as the core of STM32L151RBT6 microcomputer, wireless frequency and power management, OLED display, alarm, USB interface, key and clock circuit, using chips with low power consumption mode as far as possible to reduce the power consumption of system and extend working time. In the aspect of software design, this paper designed the main program, wireless transceiver program, data acquisition program, OLED display program, key services program and digital filtering algorithm. It is concluded that the experimental data and verify the error range of detector, performance and response time can meet the design requirements by the prototype experiments. At the same time this paper also analyses the possible causes of the error. Experiments show that the design of portable multi-gas detector is reasonable and has great popularization value field personnel at the scene of the guarantee safety.
