The sleeves can affect clothing obviously. People can make a variety of sleeve type, depending on the sleeve length, pieces and shape. Based on different garment style, selecting sleeve structure is different, the role of each sleeve and the way presented is not same. Therefore matching sleeves and bodice also showed varied. In the existing literature, there are a lot explore on the sleeve structure, although methods for research are different, but the final conclusion will follow certain rules. One piece of sleeve can be diverse style, also loose style can be fit to do the style, and the two piece sleeve style is more stringent, suitable for formal clothes, the best known is the suit sleeves, which usually choose two sleeves mapping. This paper will select ladies suits and two piece sleeve cuff overlapping mapping method.After reading much literature, this paper selects some valuable reference literature for thorough research and analysis, including a section on research sleeves structure analysis and sleeves and armhole compatibility methods, as history and status of the paper reference; some of it is research methods on sleeves fit assessment and aesthetics, literature, about clothing fold and fabrics style evaluation methods there are several methods available for reference, but also abroad study in this regard can reference to; the other part of the literature is research about the automatic generation of suit two piece sleeve pattern, students in college and university have carried out simultaneously in this aspect, but the method to establish a generate interface or system is different, before it, scholars has done some research in this aspect can be used as this paper’s references.This paper analyzes women upper limb characteristics with static and dynamic, and human upper limb characteristics is almost same, but based on the vary of postnatal development, this paper chooses the standard size. Through the analysis for different types of sleeves style, elaborating different types of sleeves features and functions, Finally, selecting the fit suit two-piece sleeve structure drawing, to optimize sleeve style. The paper sets the same bodice, while the arc values obtained before and after armhole arc value determined. In the foundation of prototype two piece sleeve height, setting up two grades to draw structure of the three groups sleeves, while making sample clothing. The model wearing the three series clothing and using a variety of standing posture to take pictures, extracting feature data by MATLAB software basing on gray curve chart of same position of three sleeves to analyze, combines with subjective judgments of model actual fit to get the most beautiful and fitting sleeve structure. Finally, the paper uses MATLAB GUI to make function curve fitting, eventually design automatic generation interface on the best sleeve pattern.
