Rayan comprehensive logging instrument is an intelligent system developed by Southwest Petroleum University and Geological Exploration Research Institute of Chuanqing Drilling Engineering Co. Ltd, which can do the comprehensive logging and oil testing logging, etc. It’s a measuring instrument with high integration of software and hardware system. However, debugging new logging instrument devices have great difficulties. Especially the integrated debugging, logging instrument has to be transported to site for onsite debugging. Besides, the cost of onsite debugging is expensive and hinder the production of site. For these reasons and the rapid development of drilling technology, the development speed of the hardware and software of the logging instrument cannot keep pace with drilling technology, which makes that the prospect of comprehensive logging instrument faces many problems. Therefore, our project group carry out the research to develop hardware and software for new logging instrument and to shorten its debugging cycle.Based on the principle of the overflow, this system designs the rule model of overflow. Relying on the rule model of overflow, the system uses Generation algorithm of data source of the cloud model to generate overflow data of the various working conditions in the drilling process. By building a test sequence according to functional test method of software and achieving targeted test of the overflow warning model through random tests of multiple paths, the system can directly test whether an overflow warning model is effective or not. The test based on heuristic search of genetic algorithm use the generated data to test the comprehensiveness of overflow warning system in the new developed logging instrument. Compared with random test, the heuristic search is faster and more efficient to find functional vulnerabilities of overflow software.As research background of the actual logging environment and Rayan logging instrument, the signal simulator is designed to simulate the sensor signal of logging site. This simulator testing logging instrument simulate the4-20mA current signal and large voltage pulse signal, provide practical signal source for logging instrument, and can simulate the real logging environment. By designing inference engine of cloud model, the system can provide diagnostic test of acquisition channels and can test stability of logging instrument system’s software.At last, the paper carries out the experiments and tests. The experimental results show that the combination of DA conversion by Max538and VI conversion by AD694can generate4-20mA signal, and Lm358can simulate the voltage pulse signal. The experimental tests also verify the feasibilities of the generation algorithm method of data source of the cloud model, random test method of multiple paths, and genetic algorithm method for testing overflow. Research shows design of the prototype system is reasonable, but the parameters need to be optimized and adjusted. After being improved, the system designed in this paper can be applied to debugging, testing, and developing new logging instruments, which has good development prospects and economic benefits.
