In the face of the continuing downturn of international oil prices,new production technologies are urgently needed in all large oil gas fields at home and abroad,which can bring higher production benefits while increasing oil and gas recovery,investment costs of exploration and development can be reduced as much as possible.Horizontal well drilling technology,which has been rising since 1980 s,is undoubtedly a new solution.In recent years,China has also carried out a number of horizontal well projects,but the logging technology of horizontal wells has been monopolized by Schlumberger and Halliburton and other foreign oil field technology service companies.In order to increase China’s international competitiveness in this technology,many domestic research institutions and petroleum research universities have carried out a lot of research.In 2016,on the basis of investigating domestic and foreign instruments,a unit of China Petroleum Group developed a single turbine single capacitance probe Fluid Image Logging tool with adjustable arms.The calibration and simulation experiments of FILT fluid imaging logging tool were carried out in multiphase flow laboratory.Based on the investigation and analysis of horizontal well logging tools and data analysis and processing methods at home and abroad,the data processing methods of capacitance water holdup meter and micro turbine rotor of FILT fluid imaging logging tool were studied.Based on CIFLog 2.0 platform developed by China Petroleum Exploration Institute,the development and connection of FILT logging interpretation module are completed with Java programming language.This paper makes an in-depth study on these aspects:On the premise of considering only single branch production logging horizontal wells,the experiment of oil-water two-phase in near horizontal section has been carried out in the multiphase flow production logging Laboratory for nearly four months.The FILT fluid imaging logging tool has been calibrated,and the point measurement data acquisition and image shooting of wellbore fluid state at different wellbore heights have been carried out under different water cut conditions.According to the classical theoretical fluid classification at home and abroad,the oilwater two-phase flow pattern in the near horizontal section was analyzed and studied combining with the image information collected by the camera in the laboratory.The processing and interpretation methods of the measured data of capacitance water holding capacity and turbine flowmeter are studied,and three methods for calculating the average velocity of the fluid imaging logging tool are proposed.By investigating the methods of calculating the flow rate of each phase at home and abroad,the interpretation methods of stratified region interpretation and pattern fitting are proposed for the stratified flow,which is especially effective in FILT logging tool measurement.On the basis of the well bore section imaging algorithm in China,the data of FILT logging five points are imaged in borehole section and compared with the image data collected in the laboratory.It is concluded that Kriging interpolation has better applicability to FILT logging.It took fourteen months from the design,adjustment and modification of FILT fluid imaging logging interpretation software module to the completion of development.Based on CIFLog 2.0 logging interpretation platform newly released by China Petroleum Exploration Institute in 2018,a FILT logging interpretation software module is developed by Java-NetBeans,which integrates borehole cross-section imaging and output profile interpretation for interpretation section.The experimental data verify that the error rate of software interpretation is less than 10%,which can meet the needs of actual production.Through the research in this paper,the self-developed FILT logging technology can be used to measure and process the downhole fluid properties of horizontal wells and highly deviated wells.It improves the accuracy of oil and gas production interpretation in the near horizontal section of horizontal wells and highly deviated wells,and has certain guiding significance for the production and development of horizontal wells.It has played a significant positive role in breaking the situation that China’s horizontal well logging technology has been monopolized by foreign oilfield technical service companies.
