| The indene and indane derivative is an important class of compounds that exists widely in active natural products and pharmaceutically important compounds. Meanwhile, indenes and indanes are also widely used as ligands in organometallics as well as many functional materials. Thus the development of synthetic methods for synthesis of indene and indane derivatives is highly desirable. The main work of this paper is that the construction of compounds which contain the indene and indane skeleton, this paper mainly include three parts.In the first section, we mainly introduce the widely use of indene and indane derivatives in industrial production, agriculture and medical industry. Chemical transformations via transition-metal-catalyzed C-H bond activation was important method for synthetic of indene and indane derivatives which is efficient and simple. In this part we also expound transition-metal-catalyzed C-H bond activation cyclization reaction. There are two typical approaches employed to form indene and indane frameworks via C-H bond activation: intramolecular cyclization reaction and intermolecular cycloaddition reaction.In the second section, we mainly expound the synthesis method of indene derivatives in which iminium act as an organic intermediate. Iminium which is one of the organic intermediates played a major role in the construction of carbon-carbon, carbon-nitrogen in organic synthetic reactions. The most representative Name reactions is the Mannich reaction and Pictet-spengler reaction which play an important role in the organic synthesis of 200 years of history. So we hope to synthesize iminium under the catalysis of Lewis acid and occur intramolecular Friedel-Crafts reaction to efficiently synthesize indene derivatives.In the last section, we mainly expound the way which utilizes formal [3+2] cycloaddition to synthesis indene and indane derivatives. Formal [3+2] cycloaddition which is one of the method played a major role in the construction of carbon-carbon, carbon-nitrogen in organic synthetic reactions. One of the most rational and straightforward synthetic routes to cyclopentane-based systems is the formal [3+2] cycloaddition. we hope that via a formal [3+2] cycloaddition to efficiently synthesize indene and inadane derivatives which relies on the Lewis acid activation of benzyl carbon in the presence of nucleophilic reagent. |
